Staffing Updates
Pastor Jeremy shared some staffing updates for our Children, Youth, Young Adults and Christian Education ministries.
Being a Disciple Means Numbering Our Days
This was a devotional based on Psalm 90 written for our Young Adults’ Retreat. This psalm speaks of God’s sovereignty, and calls us to live in light of this reality. We share it here for our encouragement and meditation.
Being a Disciple Means Repenting of Sin
This was a devotional based on Psalm 51 written for our Young Adults’ Retreat. This psalm speaks honestly about our sin, and models confession and repentance for us. We share it here for our encouragement and meditation.
Being a Disciple Means Tasting God’s Goodness
This was a devotional based on Psalm 34 written for our Young Adults’ Retreat.
Young Adults’ Retreat 2024
Our Young Adults (YA) had their retreat from 16 to 19 June, their first overseas retreat since COVID hit. We also prayed for them during our Pastoral Prayer and also at Prayer Meeting. Ethan, who was at this retreat, shares with us what they did, the things learnt and how God used this time away to encourage them.
BSLT: A Young Adults Training Series
Bible Study Leading Training (BSLT) is a training series that our Young Adults (YAs) had to equip them with skills to read the Bible and lead studies faithfully. Six sessions were held from mid-August to the end of October this year.
Young Adults' Retreat 2022
Our Young Adults (YAs) share about their recent retreat on 8 October 2022. The YAs set aside time to spend together to consider what God's word says about Christian maturity, and how He has designed for us to grow in community.
"Adulting 101"
From May to September, the Young Adults (YAs) spent ten weeks as a ministry exploring the Ten Commandments together under the "Adulting 101" series.
Pursuing Holiness in Community
Following a recent study on the Ten Commandments, Caroline Cheah shares her reflections about the study as well as the importance of pursuing holiness together even in a period of constant COVID restrictions.
Honouring Families
What does it mean to show Christ’s love to our families? How is God working in our families? The recent “Honouring Family” event held on 7 March, organised by the GBC Young Adults Ministry, sought to break barriers and start a conversation about the often sensitive and delicate topic of family.
