Evangelism during Christmas

In the Christmas and New Year period, many will be busy with gatherings and meet-ups. This is also a good time to share with those around us about the Christ of Christmas, and the true joy and hope that He provides.

As a church, we hope to equip and provide opportunities for members to share the gospel with those around them.

Our sermon series, “Life’s Big Questions” will tackle four questions that we might have about life, and how the Bible offers a response to these questions. We encourage all to come with their questions and read Scripture together. Check out the sermon schedule here.

Apart from this sermon series, there are some other resources and events to complement and aid some of the evangelistic efforts of our church members during this season.

Evangelistic resources  will be made available at the book table in the Fellowship Hall after every service. Feel free to take copies to give away.

We are also holding a Christmas Brunch Outreach on 14 December from 10.30am-12.30pm. Some of our members have been doing block visits to invite our neighbours in MacPherson and the Bidadari community to this brunch. We also encourage members to invite their non-Christians friends and family to this, if they are interested. If you are attending, do RSVP.

Join us too for our Christmas Eve Service on 24 December, at 8pm. All are welcome as we explain why Christmas means that Christians can have true joy and hope. The sermon will be "Why should I have hope?" from Revelation 22:1-7, the last in our series.

We have also made digital posters available for you to use to invite your friends and family to our Sunday services or Christmas Eve service.

Our Young Adults (YAs) will also be holding an evangelistic dinner and chat on 28 December at 6.30pm. They will be exploring the theme of “Lasting Joy”. So, if you are around the ages of 19 to 25++, and are interested to discuss this topic, you can sign up here. You can also contact the YA deacons — Nicholas (nickquack96@gmail.com), Kagen (kagelim@gmail.com) — or their elder, Nehemiah (nehemiahchong92@gmail.com).

Let us continue to be praying for opportunities to share the gospel, and for the boldness to do so when chances arise. Let us also seek to share the gospel clearly, in love, to those around us. And as a church, let us warmly welcome those that might be visiting us during this period and beyond.
